My little bug is almost three months old! It feels like he was just born. He’s grown so much and developing such a sweet personality. His smile is delightful and he coos even better. I love watching him grow!
It’s my favorite time of year; fall! There’s nothing quite like cool nights, changing leaves, apple picking, and pumpkins. 🍎🍁 I love it!
Earlier this week, my husband and I took the kiddos apple picking – our three children, and my two nephews. It was a challenge to say the least. It can be difficult to manage five children under six, but we did it. One kid was running this way, the other that way, one in a tree, one stomping apples… boy, they are a task! But seeing them all try to reach the apple way high and the tree was such a joy. There’re so sweet and innocent.
Naturally, when we got home, we made some apple pie! We love apple pie! And not to toot my own horn, but I can make a pretty great pie. 💞
As of this morning, there’s only a sliver left. The mix of apples, crumb top, and crust is simply heavenly.
Thank heavens for apples! 🍎
My husband doesn’t seem to understand what that means. He’ll say “didn’t you sleep?’
No, I didn’t. You see, right when I got the baby to sleep, the oldest woke up. He had to use the restroom and insisted on letting me know. Once I got him back to bed, the middle child woke up crying. She needed mommy to hold her for a bit. Once she was settled, the baby woke up again. He then proceeded to be up for 3 hours. As soon as he fell asleep, the cat started meowing. And then I needed to use the restroom. And then I realized I hadn’t eaten dinner, so I made a snack. Guess what happened once my snack was done? The baby woke up.
Not every night is like this, but most are. My youngest is only a month old, so I can’t really complain. I love my children, and I’m thankful to have them.
But, I’m tired.
